What is the full form of NEET?

The full form of NEET is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is an all-India national level medical entrance exam. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students who wish to study medicine and dental courses in government or private medical colleges in India.  Prior to 2019, the test was administered by CBSE in partnership with Prometric Testing Pvt Ltd headquartered in the USA. For Undergraduate (UG) courses, the examination is called NEET-UG for the students who want to study undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BDS. While for Postgraduate (PG) courses the examination is called NEET-PG for the students who want to study postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS. NEET PG Examination is also known as the Common Entrance Test (CET), and is intended for admission to post-graduate medical courses offered by various medical institutes or colleges in India. Each year the NEET exam is conducted by NTA whereas, AIIMS MBBS was being conducted by the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, an autonomous body with its base in New Delhi.
