FRCS: Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons
The full form of FRCS is “Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons”. It is a professional qualification to practice as a senior surgeon in the United Kingdom or in the Republic of Ireland. Several Commonwealth countries have organizations that bestow similar qualifications. It was founded in 1599. FRCS can be awarded without appearing for the fellowship examination based on the recommendation of the College Council. Such surgeons are usually surgeons of high calibre who have had distinguished achievements in their career.
