RaGA: Rahul Gandhi
The full form of RaGA is Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi (RaGA) is an Indian politician and a former member of the Loka Sabha, who represented the constituencies of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad, Kerala in the Lok Sabha. He is a member of the main opposition party, the Indian National Congress (INC) and was the party president from December 2017 to July 2019. On 23 March 2023, he was convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment by a court in Gujarat for defamatory statements against the ‘Modi’ community in a 2019 speech targeted against Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Rahul Gandhi was born in Delhi on 19 June 1970. He spent his early childhood between Delhi and Dehradun, a town nestled in the valley between the Himalayas and Shivaliks. He began his undergraduate career at Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College before moving to Harvard University in the USA. In March 2004, Gandhi announced his entry into politics by announcing that he would contest the May 2004 elections from Amethi which was won, retaining the family stronghold with a victory margin of over 100,000.
