FIFA: Federation Internationale de Football Association
The full form of FIFA is Federation Internationale de Football Association. In English, it is known as International Federation of Association Football. FIFA is an international governing body based in Zurich, Switzerland. Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) governs, manages and promotes association football, futsal and beach soccer. It is responsible for organizing all major football tournaments like the Football World Cup (FIFA World Cup) and FIFA Women’s World Cup. Since 1930, it is organizing FIFA World Cup and since 1991, it is organizing Women’s World Cup. It was founded on 21 May 1904 with the motto “For the Game. For the World”. As on March 2020, Gianni Infantino is the President and Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa (AFC) is the Senior Vice-President of FIFA.
