WWE, Inc. is a professional wrestling company based in the USA dealing primarily in professional wrestling, with major revenue sources also coming from film, music, product licensing, and direct product sales. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) began as Capitol Wrestling Corporation in 1952, promoted under the banner of the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) and later the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). In 1982, it was sold to Titan Sports from the same family, which later changed its name to World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, before becoming World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002 and streamlined for WWE in 2011. It is the largest wrestling promotion in the world, holding over 500 events a year. Its products include Television, Publishing, Films, Finance, Music, Merchandise, Streaming network service, Home video, Live events. As on March 2020, Vince McMahon is the Chairman and CEO, Stephanie McMahon is the Chief Brand Officer (CBO) of WWE.
