JEE: Joint Entrance Examination
The full form of JEE is “Joint Entrance Examination“. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance examination in India conducted for admission to various engineering colleges. It is constituted by two different examinations – JEE Main and the JEE Advanced. These tests are regarded internationally as one of the most competitive undergraduate admission tests. JEE – Main is a national level entrance exam conducted by NTA to offer admission to BE/BTech, BPlan and BArch courses at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) across the country. Only the top 2.5 lakh score holders in JEE Main 2020 will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced.
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020
- Candidate should have passed class 12 or qualifying the exam in 2018 or 2019.
- Candidate appearing in class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply.
- JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam will be conducted twice a year, they may appear in both the attempts. The attempt for an academic year will be considered as One.
- There is no age limit. However, the He/She have to pass 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2018 or 2019.
