TC Full Form in School — Transfer Certificate

Transfer Certificate (TC)
Sample of Transfer Certificate (TC)

The full form of TC is “Transfer Certificate“. It is also called a leaving certificate. TC is a document signed by the head of a school or institution signifying that the student has fulfilled the education requirements of their locality.

How to get a transfer certificate?

In CBSE Board they give TC at the time of results. And if you are in state board, then you need to go to the main centre and get your migration certificate. It is needed because let’s say you are from Karnataka and you need to take admission in Delhi, the TC or migration certificate is necessary because that certificate tells the college/institute that you belong to this particular board of this particular state.

Can I get a transfer certificate online?

Students of some universities (for example Mahatma Gandhi University) can get their TC online. For this, a student should first login to the portal and click the migration certificate link to begin the process. The registration and online forms are available on the website. The fee required for each application and the certificate concerned can be remitted online.
