The full form of FICCI is Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It is an association of business organizations in India, headquartered in New Delhi and has a presence in 12 states in India and 8 countries across the world. It is one of the main organizations to fund and support many governmental and non-governmental educational institutes. FICCI was established in 1927, on the advice of Mahatma Gandhi by Ghanshyam Das Birla, Purshottamdas Thakurdas. FICCI Ladies Organisation was established in 1983 to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence among women in India.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation. FICCI draws its membership from the corporate sector, both private and public, including SMEs and MNCs. Its services are Business promotion, networking and policy reforms. It has closely witnessed India’s struggle for independence, its industrialization, and the rapidly growing economy of India. As of April 2020, Sangita Reddy is the president and, Pawan Kr Agarwal is the CEO of FICCI.
