NCC: National Cadet Corps
The full form of NCC is National Cadet Corps. It is the Indian Military Cadet Corps that provides basic military training to school and college students across India on a voluntary basis. Cadets receive basic military training in small arms and parades. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a triple service organization, comprised of the Army, Navy, and Air Wing, committed to preparing the nation’s youth for disciplined and patriotic citizens. Officers and cadets are not responsible for active military service after completing the course. It is based in Delhi and its directorates are located in different states of India. In March 2020, Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chopra, AVSM, is the managing director of the NCC. The official NCC song is titled “Ham Sabh Bhartiya Hain”. It is written by Sudarshan Faakir. Its Motto is “एकता और अनुशासन” in Hindi, “Unity and discipline” in English.
