HP: Hewlett-Packard
The full form of HP is “Hewlett-Packard“. HP was an American multinational information technology company founded on January 1, 1939, based in Palo Alto, California. Hewlett-Packard (HP) is named after its founders, Bill Hewlett and David Packard. Its logo is a lowercase “hp” in italic letters in a circle. It has developed and supplied a wide variety of hardware components, as well as software and services related to consumers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large companies, including clients in the government, health and education sectors.
HP’s first product was an audio oscillator. Since then, the company has continued to grow and became the second largest provider of computers in the world in 2013. They are also the leading producers of test and measurement instruments. On October 6, 2014, HP planned to split into two new companies, called HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). HP Inc., popular as HP and stylized as hp was created to focus on personal computers and printing business and HPE for enterprise technology, networking, storage, security, and corporate services. Today, HP Inc. (HP) is manufacturing and developing a wide range of products, such as computer systems, servers, printers, scanners, digital cameras and storage devices.
