It is a record in the database of a computer reservation system (CRS) in the railway, airline and travel sectors that consists of a passenger’s personal information and also contains the planned route for the passenger or a group of passengers traveling together. Airlines use PNR for security, data management and customer evaluation in situations such as overbooked flights. The Passenger Name Record (PNR) is also useful for train travel, as it provides consultation services, train status, seat location on the train, etc.
